Charcoal is a centrally hosted Squid proxy URL Redirector, with an API driven helper.
It is best suited for environments where one has to manage multiple proxy servers at distributed locations. In such a scenario, managing blacklists and rules on each proxy server becomes an administrative nightmare.
Charcoal provides a way to manage blocklists and rules from a single portal. It already includes 70+ categories of domain blocklists, with facility to let you create your own custom lists.
Charcoal is currently under active development and is already being used on 1000+ proxy servers.
